A Little Help From Our Friends
As Shane just posted, we have officially begun our adventure, and I am in charge of the food part of the adventure. It does take time and planning, but once you get organized it actually is easy. I am following simple basic diet rules, which consist mainly of the 5 a day rule. I am concentrating on getting all of us eating 5 Servings of fruit and veggies a day. I am using the book 5 A Day-The Better Health Cookbook by Dr. Elizabeth Pivonka to plan most of our meals for the week.
So, we would love a little help from our friends! Words of encouragement, ideas, recipes, or just joining in on the adventure with us would be great!

Way to go! We are behind you guys all the way! The biggest change I have found in eating better is that I do not crave the bad stuff so much any more. Of course I have my days, but those do pass.

I want the recipe to the oatmeal. I would also like any other recipes/ideas for healthy eating that you guys found worked for you. We just found out how good and easy butternut squash was to bake and eat for a great side item with a meat and salad. Fox loves it, and so do we with a little brown sugar and butter. We also like spaghetti squash too for a side item instead of pasta. I did not realize that climb up the Guadalupe made you sick! Wow you guys are adventurous! Wish we could play tennis with you!
Love,
Kristi
