Strong Out of the Gate…Slow on the Back Stretch
I started out January strong…working out at least 3 times each week, eating well balanced meals, skipping Cokes and sweets. Somewhere around week 3 “the slacking” began. I don’t know if it was the seemingly endless barrage of sleet and snow, extra pressure at work, or just lack of constitution. Fortunately, thanks to Summer, I have continued to eat well…it’s just the exercise that has fallen by the wayside. I didn’t weigh before starting this, but I can tell from the way my pants fit that I have already lost some! February is here, and it’s time to kick it up again!
My plan is to follow the Couch-to-5K Running Plan suggested by Becky last month as soon as the temperature is over 50 degrees.

Coke is sugar. Sugar is energy. Energy is good, right???

Good point David. Is there really such a thing as too much of a good thing?
It turns out, that’s probably a big part of my problem, I love sweets! I think that just cutting out dessert and cokes from my diet has my a huge difference.
